Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships: 2017 applications are now open online

The 2017 round of the Australian Government’s Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships is now open. The Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships are internationally competitive scholarships which offer high-achieving individuals to undertake vocational or post-graduate study, research or professional development in Australia and for Australians to do the same overseas. The program aims to promote knowledge, education links and enduring ties between Australia and its neighbours.

Vietnamese scholars, researchers and professionals are encouraged to apply for the 2017 Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships. Applications are online, open to all fields of study and there is no age limit for applicants.

Vietnam has a strong record in competing for Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships. Since 2007, 432 Vietnamese citizens have been successful in gaining an Endeavour Scholarship or Fellowship.  Last year alone, 39 Vietnamese received these prestigious awards, including 13 PhD scholarships, the highest number of any eligible country for the second year in a row.  Since 2007, 37 Australian students have come to Vietnam under an Endeavour Scholarship and Fellowship.

“The Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships support high-achieving scholars, researchers and potential leaders. I am confident that, after returning from Australia, the Vietnamese Endeavour  recipients will apply their new knowledge, skills, and experiences to contribute to Vietnam’s future and will maintain strong and productive links with Australia” the Australian Ambassador to Vietnam, HE Mr Hugh Borrowman said.

Applications for the 2017 Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships open April 2016 and close on Thursday 30 June 2016 at 11.59 am AEST. Further information is available at
