STUDY IN AUSTRALIA

This information is intended for applicants wishing to study in Australia.

The following information is provided to assist applicants in completing the visa application process in Vietnam.  Applicants must also access the information regarding studying in Australia on the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) main website.  Applicants should refer to this website for information about the assessment factors applicable to their proposed course of study and assessment level.

STUDENT VISA PROGRAM CHANGES

On 22 September 2011 the Australian Government announced significant changes to the Student visa program, arising from a comprehensive, independent review.

Stage One of the implementation of these changes came into effect on 5 November 2011. These changes include:

DIAC has developed a Fact Sheet and a range of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) documents that contain detailed information about the changes.

It is proposed that Stage Two of the implementation will take place in time for second semester enrolments in 2012.
